In 2020 Jenny co-founded Be An #ArtsHero with Carson Elrod, Brooke Ishibashi, and Matthew-Lee Erlbach.
The four founders and their powerful Arts advocacy message have been featured in the New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, The Guardian, Forbes, New York Magazine, and dozens of other publications. The campaign has been represented on television by Billy Porter, B.D. Wong, Philippa Soo, Jeremy O Harris, and Jane Krakowski and amplified on social media by the likes of Ariana DeBose, Cher, Alfre Woodward, Bette Midler, and Hillary Clinton.
Since June of 2020, Be An #ArtsHero has become one of the most nationally recognized Arts Advocacy campaigns in American history.Since 2020, Be An #ArtsHero campaign has grown from a viral hashtag movement into a visionary new non-profit 501c4 Social Welfare Organization called Arts Workers United and a national Foundation, Arts Workers United Foundation.
Jenny is currently the Executive Director of the Arts Workers United Foundation. -
Jenny has had the privilege of performing varied and colorful characters throughout her career.
Notable roles include: Nora in A Dolls House (Hamilton-Murray Theater), Laura Producing Juliet (dir. Tina Cesa Ward), and Summertime (dir. Max Weissberg).
Jenny is perhaps most known as the romantic lead in the indie darling Completely Normal .

Ms. Makholm is a published poet, playwright, and screenwriter. Her indie musical, Relent (book and lyrics by Jenny Grace, music by Ian Wehrle), was produced as a part of The WorkShop Theater's 2013-14 season and nominated for an Innovative Theater Award for Outstanding New Music.
Her most recent play, Vanquished, was a Eugene O'Neill conference 2019 Finalist; 21st Century Voices New Play Festival 2020 Finalist; and Jane Chambers Excellence in Feminist Playwriting Award 2020 Finalist.

In 2021, Jenny executive produced the 5-part television series, The Green Room with Nadia Brown.
Jenny currently produces social media content, including Will I? starring the stars of the film, Broadway, tv-series, and off-Broadway stars of Rent.In 2007, Jenny founded the production company The Process Group with Rebecca Whitehurst. TPG is responsible for NYC theater productions of Tony-award winner Michael Aronov’s Off-Broadway production of Manigma, John Patrick Shanley’s Savage in Limbo, Nicholas Gray’s Population:8, as well as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Annual Required Reading Series, and the web series, Lady Business.
Jenny has co-produced and directed the films He Looks and Looks, One Art, and Skin Balloon, as well as the hit podcast The Blondes, based off the bestseller (Best Fiction Book of the Year by Kirkus, BookPage, and NPR) of the same name. -
Jenny currently directs film, TV, Podcast, and short-form content.
Favorite projects include the podcast The Bite (Heroic Collective, Apple Podcasts), the short films He Looks and Looks, Skin Balloon, and One Art as well as the music video for Kristin Flammio & the Pretty Bitchin’s “Not This Time.” -
As a child, Jenny attended Thomas G. Pullen School for the Performing Arts, sang in the Maryland Honor Choir, and received the 2000 Maryland Distinguished Scholarship for the Performing Arts.
